The Dads' Club of Roosevelt Elementary School is a community-based, California non-profit corporation whose Mission is to enhance and improve the Educational Process at the school. The Club has been incorporated since 1954.
The Club fulfills this Mission by:
- Supporting the principal, staff, and PTA
- Organizing fund raising events in the community
- Providing direct grants to school programs, classroom supplies, and building projects
- Acting as the District Dads' Club by allocating funds at the request of the District for emergency eyewear and head lice treatments
- Organizing and directing several Traditional School Events, such as:
- Open House/Pasta Feed
- Hobby Night
- Pool Party
- Coordinating and managing the District Beautification Days at the school in conjunction with the San Leandro School District Employees
- Providing good old-fashioned labor on Beautification Days
- Maintaining and updating the outdoor sign of Dowling Ave
